ABOUT THE CONTEST

The “Next level. Glucose" challenge is an engineering competition. The task of the competition is to determine with medical accuracy the glucose level in the venous blood of a patient without taking blood. The device will be useful for people suffering from diabetes. It will help to monitor glucose levels at home without the need to pierce a finger. The final stage of the competition will be set in clinical trial format. The devices of winning teams will check the blood glucose level accurately.

TECHNOLOGICAL BARRIER

Create a portable noninvasive device capable of measuring blood glucose with no special preparations for the patient. The result of a device should be comparable to the lab test result with acceptable the difference between two test within 12%.
